Three Houses

When the house No. 222 was reconstructed from 1976 to 1981 the craftsmen discovered the initials WR and the number "1623" in one of the gable plates. After this finding the house was classed among the oldest popular buildings in Bohemia. Gable houses with arcades and porches dominated the squares and the main streets in the towns of the giant mountain foothills in the last century still. Today this building houses the Giant Mountains' administration information centre and the Giant Mountains Museum.
