Building of the saving bank

Architect Jan Vejrych from Horní Branná built a majestic building with an atypical tower of eight sides in 1910 – 1911. Directly from the town square there is an entrance to the information centre and the main entrance to the savings bank is on Kavánova Street. The exhibition boxes in the entry hall are used for occasional exhibitions of photos or fine art. The counter area on the first floor is decorated with ceiling and wall frescos by painter Mikoláš Aleš - nicely enhanced by the transparent roof.
