Kocioł Małego Stawu

The basin of Maly Staw (Small Pond), is situated at the border of the upper forest limit and subalpine level. Herbal and grassy phytocoenoses grow in the glacial valley as well as unusual leafy bushes. The plants that got to the Krkonose Mountains during the ice age and lasted to the present time are called glacial relicts. One of them is the Lapland willow.
