Žalý

The Přední (Lower) Žalý mountain - 1019 m and the Zadní (Upper) Žalý mountain - 1036 m are 2.2 and 3 km from the settlement Kněžice, which is part of the town Vrchlabí.
The Žalý mountainis the southernmost distinct peak of the Giant Mountains. Its look-out tower, built in 1892 at 1019 m, offers beautiful views on the Giant Mountains foothills as far as the Český ráj (Czech paradise). The tower is normally opened daily from 10 am to 4 pm .
