Studniční hora Mountain
Peak 7 km east of Špindlerův Mlýn and 1,8 km east of Luční hora (Meadow mountain). This peak had an independent title Kamenitá pláň (Stone plain).
Studniční hora is with its 1554 metres the third highest mountain in Czech Republic. It is situated in the east wall of Big and Small Studniční hollow (Velká a Malá Studniční jáma. Čertův hřebínek (Devil's comb), Čertova rokle (Devil's gorge) and Čertova zahrádka (Devil's garden)- very noted botanical and geological localities. Snow-covering is 14 metres deep in this place. Avalanche like field on
the southern slope of Modrý důl (Blue pit) lies till the summer's beginning and it has the shape of Czechoslovak republic - that's where the title
"map of Czech republic" comes from. Under the Studniční hora rises the river Bílé Labe (White Elbe). Pec pod Sněžkou
